Carnival Champion and Carnival Little Stars competition

We have created a new competition to find our first Elland Carnival Champion and Little Star! If you have someone in your family that should be recognised for the little star they are or just being a good champion? Then apply using the competition form on our Carnival Applications page.

To enter the Carnival Champion competition the nominee must be aged 10 to 16 at the time of the carnival on Saturday 1st July. The Carnival Little Star must be aged 5 to 10 on the day of the carnival.

All successful entrants will be invited to take part in a short interview prior to the judging of the contests. The dates for these interviews will be confirmed after the entry date.

Here are the entry questions:

1. Please tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests
2. Tell us about something that you are proud to have achieved / or proud of
3. Are you involved with any volunteering projects in the area?
4. Do you belong to any local youth groups e.g. Scouts, Guides etc?
5. Who do you look up to or admire?
6. What would being crowned the Carnival Champion / Little Star mean to you?

For children aged 5 to 10 years old, you could help your Little Star with preparing for these questions.
